3D Printing - Jewelry & Wearables

  • Ages:  Students entering grades 4-8
  • Dates:   June 10 - June 13  (Mon-Thurs)
  • Time:    9:00 am - 12:00 (Noon) pm

Description:  3D Printing introduces students to a new world of possibilities! This class is for students who have no or limited experience with 3D Printing and is ideal for students who like to draw, design and see their creations come to life. Students will learn the ropes of 3D modeling and printing using Tinkercad to design their jewelry or wearables creations from scratch, 2 of which they get to print and take home. To allow everyone to print their creations, items may have to be scaled down to allow printing during class times. Students must be comfortable with using a laptop and mouse to design their creations.

Description:  3D Printing is here to stay! This class is for students who have no or limited experience with 3D Printing and is ideal for students who like to draw, design and see their creations come to life. Students will be learning the ropes of 3D modeling and printing and use Tinkercad to design parts for their robots. By the end of the week they will have 2 Dc-powered robots - a sketchbot and a drive bot. Students must be comfortable with using a laptop and mouse to design their creations.

Description: Calling all aspiring web crawlers!  Welcom to Spider-verse Engineering Camp, where science, technology, and imagination collide.  Join us fo an action-packed week as we delve into the incredible Spider-verse and rxplore the concepts behind their super-abilities.  Make your own spider slime, web shooter, spider-bot and more!

Phineas & Ferb's Engineering Adventure

Description:  There's a hundred and four days of smmer vacation...so goes the them song from Phineas & Ferb.  Let's find a good way to spend it and see how many of the theme song projects we can actually make...like building a rocket, or fighting a mummy, or climbing up the Eiffel Tower.  What about discovering something that doesn't exist, or giving a monkey a shower?  Let's put our heads together and design a master plan to make this the best summer ever inspired by Phineas & Ferb!

World Games Engineering

Description:  The competition is heating up with the Engineering for Kids World Games!  In this program, students will compete for the gold as they take on exciting engineering challenges related to the greatest athletic competitions.  Students will explore a wide variety of science and engineering concepts related to soccer, skateboarding, archery, golf and more while applying EFK's Engineering Design Process.  Get ready to step up to the podium as we declare victory in inspiring the next generation of engineers!  Build a bow & arrow, mini golf course, fingerboard and more!

Escape to Hogwarts

  • Ages:  Students entering grades 3-7
  • Dates:   June 24-27  (Mon-Thurs)

Description:  The Ministry of Magic is inviting all aspiring wizards to this extraordinarycamp.  Each day, students participate in engineering challenges to earn points for their houses like creating the farthest-reaching Golden Snitch Launcher and the fastest Gringott Cart to reach the vaults.  At the end of the week, the house with the most pointsis awarded the House Cup, a great honor!

Trapped:  Engineer's Escape Room

  • Ages:  Students entering grades 3-7
  • Dates:   July 8-11  (Mon-Thurs)
  • Time:    9:00 am - 12:00 (Noon) pm

Description:  Escape this room! Problem-solving, creative plots, strategic thinking, and teamwork under pressure makes escape rooms exciting and memorable. Each day starts with a simulated escape room where teams have to solve engineering challenges and puzzles in order to escape...like a Hijacked Plane, Underground Cave and a Locked Playroom. Engineering challenges include building straw rockets, parachutes, a flashlight, catapult and coding a robot. After escaping the room for the day, campers learn about the parts of an escape room and different types of puzzles. They will get creative and build their own escape room that they will present on the last day for other teams to solve.

Drone Maker Engineering Camp

Description:   The Drone Maker Engineering Camp is an engaging, hands-on experience that combines theory with practical application.  Designed for beginners, students will work in teams of 3 and use special classroom drones to learn about drones, the principles of flight, and their real-world applications.  Each day, students will engineer their drones to complete a new mission like package delivery, firefighting and medical missions.  This camp is structured to encourage creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.

Bloxel Builders:  Video Game Design Camp

  • Ages:  Students entering grades 4-8
  • Dates:   July 29-Aug 1 (Mon-Thurs)
  • Time:    9:00 am - 12:00 (Noon) pm
  • Cost:     $180

Description:   Calling all game developers!  Students in this camp enjoy creating their own games with character, enemy and plot development.  Using the Bloxels Edu system, they turn their game ideas into a digital video game.  They will use a special game board and blocks to design the characters, levels, and other art for their games.  They then capture their creations using the Bloxels app, where they edit and customize their game, deciding how each of the elements interact and behave.  Students will walk away with a fun playable game on a tablet or computer,  and invaluable experience with logic and programming.

Lightning Thief Engineering Camp

Description:    The demigods have come together at Camp Half-Blood.  Inspired by the 1st Percy Jackson bood, "The Ligtning Thief",  students use the engineering design process to recreate objects and transform themselves into modern-day heroes.  With new and exciting activities each day, students learn to solve problems, work as a team and unleash the hero within.  Explore different engineering fields and make a light-up bolt, cast in stone, flying shoes and more!
