Triple ‘A’ Award
The Minnesota State High School League’s Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award, commonly known as the Triple ‘A’ Award, honors high school seniors throughout the state who have a 3.0 or higher-grade point average and who participate in League-sponsored athletic and fine arts activities.
Triple ‘A’ Award – Amelia Lynch
Amelia’s College Counselor describes her like this, “She proceeds with quiet confidence and respectfully advocates for herself and others, especially when she sees something as unfair or unjust.”
Amelia participated in varsity soccer, theater, mock trial, speech, as well as many honors societies and other clubs like RKVC
This year as a thespian, Amelia was awarded a leading acting role and last year earned an honorable mention from the Hennepin Theater Spotlight Association for a supporting role.

Triple ‘A’ Award – Charlie Miller
One of Charlie’s teacher describes him like this, “Charlie stands out for his ability to approach problems thoughtfully and considers their holistic nature. He is known for generating insightful questions that often prompt deeper consideration of an issue, a quality that sets him apart from his peers.”
Charlie was the captain of the Debate and Tennis teams and also a member of the Knowledge Bowl, Quiz Bowl, National Language Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, and National Honor Society.

Athletics Director’s Award— Jeremiah Johnson
The Athletics Director’s Award is an award given to a student who is supportive of and has excelled in BSM Athletics. Although this award is entitled Athletics Director’s Award the honoree is selected by a group representing the Activities department, college counseling and others.
The last of five siblings, Jeremiah Johnson has been a BSM “gym rat” since he was little. From driving everyone crazy as a little guy to now helping with every possible task Jeremiah has had quite the journey.
A staff member says that Jeremiah, “connects with all students and coaches. He possesses maturity beyond his years and is a great kid to be around. He is a trustworthy go getter who has served as a student photographer, game worker and a volunteer helper”
He announces, keeps stats, runs the concession stand, and is a master with the popcorn machine at open houses and other events.

Activities Director’s Award – Luke Sauer
The Activities Director’s Award is an award given to a student who is supportive of and has excelled in BSM Activities. Although this award is entitled Activities Director’s Award the honoree is selected by a group representing the Activities department, college counseling and others.
Luke’s resume includes being a member of Knowledge Bowl, Quiz Bowl and Baseball.
One staff member states, “Luke is a most pleasant, smart, involved athlete and unique Red Knight. The Bowler Express benefits from his knowledge, good humor, and enthusiasm”
Coming from a long line of Red Knight relatives, we are sad to see the last member of the Kopp family leave.

Al Blasing Award– Carter Callan
Benilde St. Margaret’s School honors our outstanding male senior student-athlete with the Al Blasing Award. The Blasing Award is given to the athlete who “best exemplifies the ideals of a Red Knight” in individual sports or for participation and accomplishments in team sports
One of Carter’s coaches shared, “Carter is an outstanding athlete but what makes him truly stand out is that he is such a great kid while being such a determined competitor.”
Carter’s accomplishments include:
- Four-year letter winner in golf and three years in hockey
- All conference multiple years in both golf and hockey
- Served as captain of our Section Championship and State Championship team 2024.
- BSM Scholar-Athlete Award for 2024-24 in Hockey
- Minnesota State Junior Boys’ Championship
- Has accepted a golf scholarship from the University of South Dakota.
Congratulations Carter for being honored as this year’s BSM Al Blasing Award winner.
Athena Award— Bailey Gray
The Minneapolis Area Athena Awards program honors outstanding female high school senior student-athletes from Minneapolis and suburban high schools for their athletic achievements. The award is based on excellence in individual sports or for participation and accomplishments in team sports.
Bailey has been a standout member of our athletic program throughout her entire BSM career. As a three-sport student-athlete, Bailey’s contributions to the soccer, hockey and lacrosse programs have been invaluable. The accolades she has earned along the way while maintaining success in the classroom further highlight her excellence on and off the ice/field.
Bailey lettered in soccer, hockey and lacrosse; was a captain of both her hockey and lacrosse teams and all conference as well as all state in hockey and lacrosse.
In the fall of 2025 Bailey will attend the University of Delaware and play hockey.
